Time for a little update on where I am with my project. There’s something very satisfying about working in 25 minute chunks, and I’m finding I can get a reasonable amount done in that time. Okay, it’s not ground breaking but it’s enough to make it feel like I’m making steady progress.
So what have I done? Following my plan in my previous post my first job is to get my website shipshape, which is exactly what I’ve been doing.
I got my fab graphic designer friend Emily Brown to update the tagline on my logo to “web design business specialist” so that’s a tick. And I’ve also asked her to have a look at my banner image for me. I’m liking the photo I’ve selected because it feels like it’s got a bit of personality (that really is me) but the purple isn’t entirely on-brand. So the other Emily is going to see what she can do with it:

I’ve also:
- moved a couple of my old blog posts of to my Webfooted Designs website as I think they belong better there
- updated the home page, about page and contact page
And this is me using the blog to discuss my progress. So I’m actually following my plan so far!
I’ll continue developing the website as things progress but it’s time to move on to the next step which is to create a freebie and set up my mailing list. My mailing list provider of choice is MailerLite so I will get myself set up on that and start work on the freebie (or lead magnet if you want to use a more grown-up term).
I will report back again once I’ve made a bit more progress.
